Introduction

Welcome to Go Curlie. We're a UK-based directory platform that connects people with curly, coily, and wavy hair to specialist stylists and salons across the United Kingdom.

By accessing or using our website at www.gocurlie.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully. If you don't agree with any part of these terms, you should not use our Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and stylists or salon owners who list their business on Go Curlie.

Definitions

Throughout these Terms, the following words have the meanings set out below:

• ServiceThe Go Curlie website and all features available at www.gocurlie.com.
• UserAnyone who accesses or uses the Service, whether or not they have a registered account.
• Curly Girl / ClientA User who uses the Service to find a curl specialist or browse the directory.
• StylistA hair professional or salon owner who has a Listing on the Go Curlie directory.
• ListingA profile page on the directory representing a stylist or salon, containing information about their services, location, and contact details.
• Premium SubscriptionA paid subscription tier that gives a Stylist access to enhanced Listing features, as described in Section 6.
• We / Us / OurGo Curlie, the company operating this Service, based in the United Kingdom.
• You / YourThe individual or business accessing or using the Service.

Accounts

Some parts of the Service require you to create an account. When you register, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information about yourself.
• Keep your account details up to date.
• Keep your password confidential and not share it with anyone.
• Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Stylist account or take out a Premium Subscription. By doing so, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.

Listings

The Go Curlie directory offers two tiers of Listing:

• Free Listings: Basic directory entries that can be created or claimed by a Stylist at no cost.
• Premium Listings: Enhanced directory profiles with additional features, available through a paid Premium Subscription (see Section 6).

Business owners may claim an existing Listing for their salon or practice by verifying their connection to that business. Once claimed, the owner is responsible for ensuring that all information on the Listing is accurate and up to date.

Go Curlie does not verify or guarantee the accuracy of information provided in Listings. We are a directory platform and are not responsible for the quality, safety, or availability of services offered by listed Stylists.

We reserve the right to edit, suspend, or remove any Listing at our discretion, particularly where we believe the content is inaccurate, misleading, or in breach of these Terms.

Reviews

Users may be able to leave reviews on Stylist Listings. By submitting a review, you agree that:

• Your review is genuine and based on your own real experience with the Stylist or salon.
• You will not submit reviews for businesses where you have a personal or commercial conflict of interest.
• Your review does not contain defamatory, offensive, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate content.
• You will not impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
• You grant Go Curlie a non-exclusive licence to display your review on the platform.

Go Curlie reserves the right to remove any review that we believe breaches these guidelines, without prior notice. We may also investigate reports of fake or misleading reviews, though we cannot guarantee that all reviews reflect genuine experiences.

Premium Subscriptions

Stylists can upgrade to a Premium Subscription to unlock enhanced Listing features.

Acceptable Use

When using Go Curlie, you agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or inaccurate information in any Listing, review, or account.
• Use the platform to send spam or unsolicited commercial messages.
• Scrape, harvest, or otherwise extract data from the Service without our written permission.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or to any other user account.
• Use automated tools or bots to interact with the platform.
• Post content that is illegal, abusive, discriminatory, or that infringes third-party rights.
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
• Use Go Curlie to promote competing directory services.

Breaching these rules may result in suspension or permanent removal of your account and any associated Listings.

Intellectual Property

The Go Curlie platform — including its design, code, branding, logos, and original content — is owned by Go Curlie and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of it without our prior written consent.

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the platform, such as photos, descriptions, or reviews. However, by submitting content, you grant Go Curlie a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and reproduce that content as part of the Service. We will not sell your content to third parties.

If you believe any content on Go Curlie infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us at hello@gocurlie.com.

Limitation of Liability

Go Curlie is a directory platform. We connect people with curly hair to Stylists and salons, but we are not a party to any appointment, service, or transaction between a User and a Stylist. We are not responsible for:

• The quality, safety, or outcome of any hair services provided by listed Stylists.
• Any dispute between a User and a Stylist or salon.
• Inaccurate or outdated information in a Listing.
• Any loss or damage arising from your reliance on content found on the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Go Curlie's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service will not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or £50 if you have not paid anything).

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

Termination

We may suspend or permanently close your account and remove your Listings if we believe you have breached these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or abusive behaviour, or if required to do so by law.

Where possible, we will give you notice before taking action, but we reserve the right to act immediately where necessary to protect the Service or other users.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us or using the account settings. If you have a Premium Subscription, cancellation terms in Section 6 will apply.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our Service, legal requirements, or business practices. When we make material changes, we'll let you know — either by email (if you have an account) or by displaying a notice on the website.

The updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Continuing to use Go Curlie after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
